Nana’s Owner, Anthony Radzikowski has been in the pizza business since 1984 and opened Nana’s in the Spring of 1991 featuring ITALIAN THIN-CRUST PIZZA AND CALZONES. The name of the business originates from Anthony’s grandmother and life-long Everett resident Ann Bradshaw, “Nana”, who is still rolling meatballs and making their famous marinara sauce six days a week. On her walk to work down Main Street you can usually catch her waving to many people who beep at her and yell out their car windows “Hey, Nana!” Anthony likes to point out that, “Many people are surprised when they walk in and see that there really is an actual Nana behind the counter. Adults love to meet her because she’s quite a character. But the best is when kids come in and see her and react as if they just saw Santa Clause walk out from the back room. Many think that the logo picture on our boxes is just a caricature, until they come in and see the real thing!”
“Adding the dining room was something that my wife, Gia, my manager, Rich , and I felt would be good addition to the business”, Radzikowski adds. “We have always focused on the delivery aspect of the business, but felt that giving customers the option of a beautiful place to sit and enjoy our pizza right out of the oven was a good idea. It gives people an affordable option of going out to eat and not having to travel far. Also, we see it as another way for us to extend our services to youth organizations, schools, charities, and businesses throughout the city that we have done business with for many years. Now, the option for them to come here and maybe have a fundraiser night, a family night, meeting or a school field trip is possible. Also, it’s beengreat getting to meet so many of our customers.”
